5 Mini-Trends to get excited about this Autumn

Sharing one of my favourite outfits of autumn so far…

Did I mention how happy I am to be back to autumn dressing? Yes I think I may have, more than a few times! There are so many new trends to play with, and I’m loving adding new accessories and styling elements into my wardrobe. I’m never one to start an entirely new wardrobe each season (I can’t imagine how expensive that would be!) but for me it’s all about those little details that inject a new lease of life into what you currently have in your closet. Here are some mini-trends I’m currently embracing….

1: Baker Boy Caps

Yes, I admit it, this trend is EVERYWHERE at the moment, but that doesn’t make me love it any less! The perfect alternative to a fedora, baker boy caps are cute, stylish, and great for staying cosy as the weather cools over the coming weeks. I tried out a few different baker boy caps looking for the perfect one, and this one from ASOS was my favourite by far. It’s out of stock now but fingers crossed there’s a restock soon, and in the meantime, here are some great alternatives:

2: Clear Lens Glasses

Yes, another mini trend that is done to death on instagram, but I love the look of a clear lens with a daytime outfit, it just adds a certain something to it! It’s also great for hiding tired eyes on bare-makeup days (guilty!) I picked up this pair in H&M but there are lots of alternatives below:

3: Faux Fur trims

Faux-fur is always a huge player in the cooler months, but this season we’re seeing a shift to more unexpected silhouettes and fur details in places like arms, cuffs, and jumper trims. It’s not one for the faint of heart, and my advice is to pair it with something fitted to avoid your outfit looking too bulky. Check out some of my favourites below:

4: Vinyl Skirts:

One of my favourite mini trends of the season has to be vinyl. I’ve picked up two different vinyl skirts already, and I love how they look paired with a simple teeshirt or jumper. As far as fabrics go, vinyl and pvc are sassier than most, so I like to tone them down with something more lose and casual on top. See some of my favourites below:

5: Over The Knee Boots

A good pair of over the knee boots will always be my autumn go-to, and there are a million-and-one outfits you can wear them with. I picked up this pair of Stuart Weitzmans from Shopbop last year, but they’re still in stock and currently on sale! I’ve linked some more affordable versions below:
