Blink & Wink Semi-Permenant Eyelash Extentions

You guys may have spotted on my social media profiles that I recently got some lash TLC from Blink & Wink studio on Dawson Street. Having never had lash extensions before, I didn’t really know what to expect, but I had heard great things about Blink & Wink, so I decided to give it a try!

Application: About a month ago I popped into their salon on Dawson Street, and was brought into their plush downstairs area, with cute vintage decor. The lovely Alice applied my lashes while I lay down under a snuggly blanket, and the whole process is honestly so comfortable! The extensions (which are made of mink and silk) are glued onto your original ones lashes, in a process that takes about an hour and a half, but you can’t feel a thing. I found it extremely relaxing, and had to resist nodding off on the table a few times.

The first time I got the lashes applied I went for a more subtle, natural look, and I was so happy with them. You can see a videos from my instagram here

The second time I went in to get my lashes refilled I decided to go for a fuller, more dramatic look, and wow, I was blown away by them! I also feel like they are lasting better than my original set, and I am so pleased with how they look. I no longer need to use mascara and they look great even with bare, minimal makeup. Here’s a look at the fuller set in action here:

Aftercare: Taking care of your new lashes is important as it will enable them to last as long as possible, which can be up to three weeks! I am careful when taking off my eye makeup at night, and I make sure to brush them gently in the mornings and after a shower to keep them in god condition. I don’t think the aftercare is too complicated, I’ve found it pretty easy to keep mine looking good!

Price: The price for a full set of eyelash extensions is €100, which I feel is well worth it, especially if you have a holiday or occasion coming up. Refils start from as little as €30, so if your you are majorly unhappy with your natural lashes then you could make it a consistent thing!

Aftermath: I haven’t gotten my lash extensions removed yet, but I am interested to see if they have damaged my natural lashes. It certainly doesn’t feel like it, and I’ve been told they don’t affect them if you take care of them, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

Overall, I was so happy with this procedure, and I would totally recommend them to anyone looking for some lash-loving. They really make your eyes pop, not to mention they take your selfie game to a whole new level, ha! πŸ˜›

But seriously thought, Kesina who runs the salon couldn’t have taken better care of me, she is a total sweetheart, and you really feel like you getting the luxury treatment when you step foot in there. If lashes ain’t your thing, Blink & Wink also offers eyebrow shaping and tinting (dying to try those out!) as well as some luxurious facials, which I am also tempted by.

I hope you enjoyed my first ever salon/treatment review, and stay tuned for more coming soon!

Happy Pampering,

Ciara x
