The Beat and the Pulse

Here is another outfit post that has crawled out of the woodwork! I wore this to go see the amazing band Austra play at the Roisin Dubh in Galway a while ago…  Honestly one of my favourite gigs I’ve seen in the Roisin, and they hold host to some pretty good ones! Speaking of good gigs, Warpaint is coming up!! They’re playing on thursday also at the Roisin, I cant waaaaaaaait… Im such a big fan, they were one of my favourites when I went to Primavera this summer. Check out an old post on them here. They’re seriously talented all-girl rock group. CARDIGAN & MAXI SKIRT: NASTY GAL / TOP: THRIFTED / LENNON SHADES: GIFT (thanks Emily!) Belated Birthday Dinner

SHOES: EBAY / CLUTCH: PENNEYS/PRIMARK / DRESS: NEW LOOK / RING: GIFT! 😀 Heres a (very) belated birthday post, from a few weeks back, unfortunately with all my photos being stuck on my shop-bound laptop, they ended up lost in the abyss for a while… But here they are in all their glory, I hope you like them. I had the most wonderful evening, I love Birthdays! I wanted to wear something simple and classic, and I think the cut and colour of this new look dress suits just perfectly! And check out the ring, what a sparkler eh? Its an opal, and casts out the most beautiful colours when the light hits it I’m a lucky girl indeed 🙂 Peace, WildChild, x Outfit photos taken by the uber talented and all round lovely Saibh Egan

My Beauty Favourites:

Better With Age – My Old Faithfuls

Some of the shots form the first (of what will hopefully be many) shooting adventures with the fantastic Galway-based photographer Saibh Egan. I cant even begin to explain how happy I was to meet and shoot with this girl, or the amount of fun we had on that carpark roof. We even managed to persuade a passer by, the very friendly Coady from Canada, to get involved! Im wearing his jumper in image 3, ooooooooh 😛   We had decided to start with a low key, under-styled shoot, so I basically just decided to stick with what I was wearing that day, which happened to be my old faithfuls.   These jeans I have had (and I’m not kidding here) since I was 15, and by-gum, they’re still holding out. I picked them up in some shop who’s name I cant remember, and thats not even there anymore,…

The Designer V’s The Dupe

Go Panda Go

on Thursday I went to see Go Panda Go play in the Roisín Dubh. They’re a great Irish band and played a great set (not just saying that because my boyfriend Yoseph is their drummer, honest!) sad I missed the support act which was my other friends Elaine and Laurie, but i’ll certainly catch them again! Check out one of GPG’s short videos, starring my wonderful friends Emma and Naomi, who have been away studying in France or the year and are coming home soon, cannot wait to see those girls!!   But don’t worry dear readers, Im not just using this as an excuse to plug Go Panda Go (cause they really don’t need any plugging!)…   Im also doing an outfit post, Huzzah!   NECKLACE:TOPSHOP ARROW-HEAD NECKLACE: HOME-MADE TURQUOISE RING: PENNEYS SHORTS: NEW LOOK LEATHER JACKET: ZARA SATIN SHIRT: NEW LOOK   I’m getting really into the ripped shorts…

Hotel Rooms with Big Mirrors

a little impromptu (and slightly silly/tipsy) outfit post before heading out to meet my friend Paula for drinks in the Garage Bar… waiting in the hotel room while the boy’s band (Lost Chord gig in Whelans)do their soundcheck can get a little boring, and how could I resist with those big ol’ mirrors?   How could I indeed!   I adore this shrug/bolero/blazer creation which I found on sale in H&M in London for a glee-inducing £2…. its so floaty and light… and rather McQueen-esque no?   My dress is actually a strapless top with the support part at the top unfolded to lengthen it, its made of that elastic material that really hugs your body, so it makes for one mean LBD 🙂   I also love this indian belly dancing chain that I found on ebay, its more than a little bit awesome, and surprisingly goes with everything……
