Barcelona Photo Diary (and video!)

Hola Chicas! So I’m back from my travels in Barcelona, and what an adventure it was!!! Given that it was my third time in the city (and had already seen many of its main attractions), I had wondered what else there was to see and do in the city that I hadn’t  seen and done already. Well I needn’t have wondered at all, as I had the most INCREDIBLE  time! Port Aventura theme park was probably one of the funniest days of my life, I highly suggest checking it out if you get the chance! The Primavera Sound music festival was even better than last year, which I honestly didn’t think was possible! I’m sorry I didn’t get the chance to blog at all during the festival, it was just too hectic! The line-up was fantastic, I saw The Cure, Waves, BeachHouse, Yan Tiersen, The Rapture, Justice, The XX and…

Barcelona Day 2

Well day two didnt go quite  as we had origionally planned, but we still had an amazing time. We wanted to go to Port Aventura today, but we are leaving it off until tomorrow as it will work out better for us time-wise. We spend the day wandering around the city’s Port Vell region, which is down by the harbour, chiling out on the grass, having picnics, and taking silly photos 😀 Were back at our apartment now, and are just making some dinner then were going to get our drink on and go in search of this magical fountain that everyone keeps telling me about, its supposed to have a beautiful display at night! This dress Im wearing is from one of my favourite online stores, InloveWithFashion.com. (they do the BEST summer dresses) Its so light and floaty, perfect for the heat, and I think the flower print on it…

Barcelona Day 1

Here is the first post from my holidays in Barcelona. Its only been one day and its already wonderful! Myself and Yoseph landed in just after lunchtime today, and are staying in a beautiful converted apartment right in the centre of Barcelona, its so close to everything! The standard and quality is very impressive, as was the price, so if anyone is ever looking for something similar, let me know and I’ll pass you on the details, we are just so happy with it 😀  Even though were both pretty wrecked after having to get up at stupid o’ clock to start the traveling, we still wanted to make the most of what was left of the day, so after checking in and getting ourselves sorted, we headed out for some exploring! We didnt want to make any proper plans for today, as we knew we’d be so tired after…

Barca Photo Diary

Goofing around with the sharks at the aquarium, beautiful birds at the zoo, petting lamas, the quintessential cheesy pose in front of tourist landmarks, lame coupley photos, excitedly pointing at a wooden Unicorn (did I mention I LOVE them), some more shots of the student protests, amazing street performers, things I would have bought had they been able to fit in my already stuffed suitcase, Yoseph rummaging through an amazing record store in the Vintage District, the deliciousness of olives and wine, wondering if “M” still hearts “A” even after all this time, statues in the park, some more photos from the children’s fete, and finally myself and Ailbhe messing around in the Rayban photo booth at Primavera…. GoodTimes…   Peace, Wide Eyed Fire Child, x

Wanderlust

I have returned from my week-long adventure in Barcelona, cavorting about the place, making new friends, experiencing new places, dancing until my feet hurt, and then dancing some more! I missed Barca so much, so overjoyed at the chance to go back. Primavera was nothing short of amazing, exceeded all expectations! The location was beautiful, down by the water, and the bands were unbelievable. My favourite would have to be Fleet Foxes and Warpaint, seeing them live was just trippy…     Highlights included Meeting Fleet Foxes,(eeeeeeeeee!!) seeing the audience storm the stage for Odd Future (they full-on trashed the stage, was like something out of Woodstock:D) Being in the city the night Barca won the Champions league and being crammed in a metro carriage with a hundred screaming fans celebrating (insane.) Having my picture taken on the final day of the festival by lots of photographers, including 3 fashion…
