Outfit Post: Caped Crusader
Cape : Romwe | Skirt : A|wear (via ASOS) | Sweater : Penneys/Primark (similar here, here and here) | Belt : MoschinoWatch : Michael Kors | Bag : Vince Camuto
As I mentioned in my A/W Coat Edit post, I picked up this gorgeous cape recently, and have been eagerly awaiting colder weather so I can wear it without melting. I know, I know, its horrible to wish for cooler weather, especially when Ireland is cold and wet oh, just about 90% of the time, but my sartorial urges have left me secretly happy that it’s getting bit nippy out. Back to the cape now. It’s fantastic quality, especially for the price, and I love the minimal design and shape. Its perfect for layering over skirts and dresses, and gives a surprising amount of warmth too! Aaaaaaaand it also comes in black! If you’re feeling the cape-vibe like me, then be sure to check out my recent post, it includes my pick of the best capes this season.

Last week I went attended the launch of the Vince Camuto accessories line in Arnotts, which was fantastic fun, and I was lucky enough to be gifted a bag of my choosing. After seeing this adorable little   Becky cross-body, it was a no-brainer, I just love the chain strap and the bright suede material. Its my new go-to mini bag, which means my beaten-up Zara messenger can finally get a break!

I know its a little harder to see with the cape, but underneath Im wearing an A|wear pleated leatherette skirt, which I picked up on ASOS recently. I had been dying to get my hands on a pleated leather skirt, they seem like such a staple versatile piece for A/W, and the lovely people over at Redress Law (they’re a will dispute firm) gifted me a voucher which made it possible to snap it up before it sold out. I picked up this pale pink sweater in Penneys a few weeks back, and I love the colour and fit so much that it’s making me lust after a real cashmere version in the same dusty pink hue. Better start saving now, those babies don’t come cheap! I’m pretty sure this sweater is sold out in Penneys now, but I have linked some similar versions in the widget above.

The past week has been pretty busy with work and other projects, but I promise I’ll get working on my first “Stylist Diary” post about working in iClothing soon! Tomorrow I am collaborating with the lovely people at Frockadvisor to make a little video project for RTE, I’m very excited. I will be styling one of the pieces from LennonCourtney’s latest collection, as well as some of my own favourite pieces from my wardrobe into some fun looks. Be sure to keep an eye on my Facebook and Instagram (@WildChildCiara) as you can bet that I’ll be posting a few behind the scenes shots!

Peace,
WildChild,
