Given my love of prints at the moment, I have been posed with a seasonal challenge…. How I will transfer this new love into my Autumn/Winter dressing? I don’t want my affair with print to be just another summer fling, I want our relationship to go the distance! So how exactly will I tone down the prints, to fit in with the more muted, cool tones of the coming season? After some thought, I have decided that adding some darker pieces into my colourful outfits should do the trick nicely for a start, such as a pair of tights (an essential in the winter months) and a basic black fedora for good measure. This way, I can begin to adapt all of my fun summer pieces into my A/W wardrobe, and my love-affair with print can stay strong!

I don’t know if I’m quite ready to give up on Summer just yet (there’s still a few more days left in August, people!) but I know I have to accept the change of season soon, and my styling choices will have to follow. Speaking of which, I did a bit of online shopping yesterday, and purchased a few pieces that were on my wish list for A/W. I can’t wait for them to arrive so I can show you guys, expect to see some interesting leather pieces, a bit of draped knitwear, and some amazing boots popping up on the blog in the next few weeks. Everything was very reasonable too, so I’ll be sure to share all the bargains with you all, of course!

In the meantime, have you noticed my blog’s new look? I felt it was time for a change, and with the help of my lovely blogger friend Hannah we managed to come up with this clean, minimalist look, which I am so happy with. I’m sure I will make a few more little tweaks in the coming months (I’m always fiddling around with this kind of stuff) but this is the way it will stay for now. What do you guys think of it? I’d love to hear your feedback!
Peace,
WildChild,
