Jewellery layering is a trend that’s been around for ages, but it’s really peaked this Spring-Summer, with the likes of Gigi, Kendal, Kylie & co sporting the look all over our Insta-feeds. It’s actually a really simple trend to work into your wardrobe for summertime, and I wanted to break it down and share it with you here on the blog.

How does it work?

The rules are simple, just choose a few dainty gold chains of different lengths, and wear them all together for a mix-matched, off -beat look. Bonus points if you can include both a choker necklace and a longer lariat style in their too, as it creates a much more dramatic, fuller look.

The key ingredients:

• A choker necklace (either a ribbon or chain one)
• Some dainty chains of varying lengths
• A lariat necklace

Top Tip:

Try making your own chokers out of ribbon, or try shortening the back of one of your own necklaces to turn it into a choker. You can also pick up handy necklace extenders, to add a bit of length to one of your necklaces when creating a layered effect.

What to wear it with:

This trend looks amazing with simple teeshirts and strappy cami tops, but for maximum impact, pair it with a deep-V plunging top for your next night out, it’s sure to turn some heads!
