What is it? The statement belt! And the trick is oh-so-simple, it barely needs explaining. Put a belt on it. Blazers, jackets, coats, whatever works! It’s an easy styling switch-up that makes any outfit look a bit more put-together. You can use any belts for this, but I picked up this wide gold detail belt from ASOS for this look, but there are lots of other styles to choose from here. I think this looked perfect for a daytime outfit, but I can’t wait to use this method for a dressier night-time look also, there’s something so 80’s about a chunky patent belt and a cinched in waist! This prince of wales check blazer is probably one of my most worn items these past few weeks, it’s so easy to style and just looks good with everything. If you haven’t caught up on my trend report on it, there are lots of great versions available online still. I’m also having so much fun playing with pops of red in my wardrobe, and these red patent boots from Public Desire were the perfect way to inject a dose of colour into this outfit.
