“May your coffee be strong and your Monday be short.”

Todays look is rather simple one, but I really think you can’t go wrong with a black and white combination. I’ve had this Sheinside cape for quite a while, but I’ve never managed to photograph it for the blog before. I’ve already photographed the tan version which you can see in an older Style Diary here, and I really enjoyed shooting this black version in a night-time setting with Azzy recently. Capes are such a fun piece to have in your wardrobe, I always think they give any outfit an instant dose of chic! I’ve chosen my favourite black capes online at the moment and linked them in the handy widget above. They only problem is that they’re not the warmest, so if you’re feeling chilly then layering up with thick tights or a cosy hat is a must!

I’ve also never shot these flats on the blog before, although you may remember seeing them in this shopping post here. I can’t wait until the weather gets a bit warmer so I can go back to wearing them without tights again!

Today is the first Monday back of the new year, and I hope everyone had a good one! I know the thought of going back to work after the long Christmas break can be quite daunting, but just remember that a little positivity goes a long way, and a few cups of coffee never hurt either! I have some more posts lined up this week, including a new lifestyle post about cleaning out your closet for the new year, so stay tuned for that.

Wishing you all a great week!

Happy Shopping,

Ciara x
