The lovely people at Kildare village contacted me recently asking me to participate in their popular #DaytriptoChic campaign they launched a few weeks ago. I thought it seemed like a wonderful idea, and here is my take on the concept. I have been having quite the little fashion adventure with photographer Dominika from Fashion Philosophy recently, she is the sweetest girl, and a fantastic photographer to boot. The #DaytriptoChic campaign is all about “that special, secret escape from the Summer hustle and bustle” and that is exactly what myself and Dominika were looking for in these photos. We wanted to somewhere big and open, away from the narrow streets and clutter that often surrounds Dublin life. We decided to shoot this rather whimsical look in the open, sparse surroundings of the National Museum of Ireland, and I feel that the landscape complements the outfit perfectly. The wind was a force to be reckoned with (see last photo) but we loved it nonetheless!

As I mentioned yesterday, I am having quite the love-affair with fishtail skirts at the moment, I think they are effortlessly pretty and whimsical! This one I picked up on Choies for an absolute bargain price, and I am really impressed with the quality and comfort of it. I also have my eye on some similar versions such as this bright one and this blush toned style from ASOS. It’s perfectly acceptable to own more than one pink fishtail skirt, right?! This gorgeous feathered coat was another steal from a Fran&Jane outlet sale, I snapped it up for a mere €40, down from €240! I couldn’t believe my luck when I spotted it in my size. It’s the perfect layer for dressier occasions, when a casual biker jacket or smart blazer just wont do.

I hope you enjoyed this special outfit post, It has to be one of my favourites so far! A huge thanks to Dominika and her amazing photography skills, she’s so wonderful to work with. I have some more fun posts lined up for the next few days, including a brand new Trend Report which I can’t wait to share with you all. Have a great weekend guys!

Happy Shopping,

Ciara x
