Style Diary: The Borg Biker Jacket

Could it be possible that after last year’s love-affair with long coats, I am now obsessed with a shorter, boxy fit?…

….My latest coat purchases certainly seem to indicate that. Lately I’ve been opting for shorter, boxier styles over the maxi-length, streamlined coats of last year. To be quite honest, I find it much handier. The weather doesn’t ever get really cold (I’m talking heavy into the minuses here) and so I often find that traipsing around the city in a huge draping coat leaves me hot and flustered after ten minutes, while a shorter boxy jacket keeps me at a reasonable temperature. Chances are I’ll be eating my words a few Style Diaries from now, when you see me sporting a floor length coat of some sort, so apologies in advance! Fashion is a fickle thing, and I change my mind constantly.

The past month has been very busy work-wise, but despite my schedule I’ve managed to blog consistently, which I’m actually so happy about. Myself and Yoseph have gotten into a great routine of shooting looks when we can (his schedule is even worse than mine right now!) and I’m feeling more inspired than ever when it comes to this little blog of mine. I don’t mean to sound boastful, it’s just that you can fall into a blogging-rut all too easily, so when the going is good, I like to appreciate it.

I’ve also been trying to make the most of this beautiful Autumn season before it creeps into Winter, and I loved how this monochrome outfit worked against the colours of the leaves, they even match my hair a little, don’t you think?  This borg jacket from ASOS is getting worn constantly, it really is the perfect layer for the current chill, and It’s currently half price! I stole borrowed this teeshirt from Yos’ wardrobe as I wanted something a little longer to wear with these leather-look leggings, which are surprisingly comfy. This pair is from Wolford and is pricey, but I found a similar pair here which are more purse-friendly, and also have a cute biker-style detail on the knees.

In case you missed it, I posted another Online Bargains post recently, which you guys seem to be loving so far. It’s showing you where to get dupes for the popular Stuart Weitzman over the knee highland and lowland boots, all for under €100. Definitely check it out if you’ve liked my other Online Bargains posts before, so far I’ve done ‘get-the-look’ features for Chloe bags, Self Portrait Dresses, Valentino Rockstuds, Manolo D’Orsay pumps, and more. I’m already working on my next one for you guys, stay tuned!

… and below, ladies and gentlemen, I give you the first ever gif on! I was playing around with the photos we shot and I decided to put this together so you guys could see how the clothes move, I think it’s kinda neat, don’t you? Let me know if you like it, and it could be a regular thing!

Hoping you all have a great weekend. I’ll be shooting some new style diaries with Yoseph, catching up on other blog-work, hosting my radio show on 2XM, and trying to fit in some down-time also, haha!

Happy Shopping,

I am literally one click away from ordering this jacket – but how warm is it? I’m on the lookout for a heavy winter coat but like you, I don’t fancy getting swamped by it. Would i be able to wear this without tons of layers underneath, do you think?

Hi Erika, YES it is super cosy! I’m literally heading out the door right now wearing it with a light jumper underneath. I ordered a UK 8 and I can still have layers underneath no problem. I think it’s a great buy xx
