Well hello there, November! Seen as it’s officially Winter now, I finally packed away my lighter summer clothes for another few months, in the grim acceptance that they won’t be getting worn anytime soon.
Welcoming Winter-dressing isn’t all that bad really… it means you can finally bring out the big guns, fashionable speaking of course. No doubt you’ll be seeing lots of cosy faux fur and chunky cable knits on the blog over the next few months, but now seems like as good time to talk about the Winter boot. I’ve been through a few pairs of sturdy outdoor boots in my time, but surprisingly, this is my first ever pair of Timberlands.
Having experienced a big resurgence in fashion since their reign in the nineties, I spotted it-girls like Hailey Baldwin stomping around NYC in her grey and black pairs recently, and I was instantly obsessed. I loved the way she wore them with her signature off-duty, slightly boyish style, and they instantly went on my wishlist. So when Timberland reached out and asked me to try my hand at styling a pair for the blog, well it was a no-brainer for me.
Slipping into a pair feels instantly comfortable, but you also feel a little bolder and brassier than you did before. They seem to ooze attitude, which I love. I decided to style mine into a casual, comfortable look by teaming them with a simple plaid shirt, my new Boohoo skinnnies, and my trusty biker jacket, which you’ve seen on this blog about a thousand times before. The perfect outfit for running errands around your city, and equally perfect for a leisurely walk in the country. A pair of boots like these, they’re always ready for an adventure, quite like myself.
