So, today’s the day.

This morning I’m leaving for three weeks in Thailand with my sister Briona, and I couldn’t be more excited. Sure, I’m a little nervous, as it’s the farthest I’ve been away from home and I never really take much time off work, but this time is particularly special as I’ll be taking my work with me. We’ve got a really fun itinerary planned for the three weeks (were even working with the Thai tourism board!) and I can’t wait to share more about the trip with you guys once we reach our first destination, which is Chiang Mai, in Northern Thailand.

I wanted to do a super quick post before I leave, to share with you guys what I’m bringing with me in case you needed a little holiday fashion inspiration yourselves. You guys know I always recommend investing in your wardrobe basics, but when it comes to your summer holiday wardrobe, I think it’s better to pick things up a little cheaper where you can, since you wont be getting as much wear out of them for the rest of the year. I was actually so lucky with the timing of this trip, as most of the high street stores are having their summer sales at the moment, so I hit up River Island, Forever 21, and New Look, and I got everything I needed for a snip, I was delighted! I’m also packing some bits I already have in my wardrobe of course, so you’ll probably see a few of the summery bits I wore in Croatia popping up again.

The one special thing I treated myself to for this trip was this pair of beautiful leather espadrilles from Kenzo, how gorgeous are they? The leather is buttery soft and they’re so comfortable to walk in, and just look at that gorgeous embossed tiger head, so cute. You actually can’t see the detail too well in the photo, but you can get a better look at them on the website here – I also love that burgundy colour! I have a feeling I’m going to live in these for the whole three weeks, but I can also see myself wearing them a lot for the rest of the summer (and early autumn) here in Ireland, so I think they were a pretty solid buy, if I do say so myself.

As always, I’ll be bringing my trusty Olympus Pen E-PL7 on my trip to capture all my photo and video content (watch my full review video here) but this time I’ll also have the GoPro Hero 4 action camera in my kit, which I picked up in ARGOS earlier in the week. I am SO excited to play around with it, and you can expect to see a lot of more action and adventure in my next Travel Video, maybe even some underwater shots too!

Anyhow, here’s a lowdown on what’s in my case, I’m surprised it’s closing to be honest! You can view and shop everything easily in the widget below.

Wait til you get to the night market in Chiang Mai!! Just back from Thailand, it was amazing. Try to get to an elephant sanctuary (obviously not the ones that allow you to ride them) where you can swim with them. So fun!
