Trumpet skirts, fishtail skirts, or peplum skirts, whatever you want to call them, they are cute as a button, and the subject of my latest Trend Report. I purchased one from Choies recently which you can see in my latest Style Diary here, and I really loved styling it up into a dressier look for a Style Diary. Earlier this week, I was out at the RDS covering Ladies Day at the Dublin Horse Show for SHEmazing TV, and I decided to wear this skirt again as I felt it was dressy enough for Ladies Day, but still young and fun enough to suit my style. It ended up being absolutely perfect actually, and so comfortable! You can also see the finished broadcast from that day here.
I did some searching online for more styles, and now I’m lusting after a chic black one, a pretty pastel coloured one in a longer length, and I also love this fun printed one, which is on sale! I think these types of skirts are perfect for a wedding, or any other formal occasion or fashion event where you want to look that bit more dressed up, however, if you are looking for a more casual alternative for everyday wear, you can easily opt for a slightly shorter length. I did my usual root around online this morning, and I found some DIVINE styles (both long and shorter) and I have linked my favourites in the widget below for you to browse and shop with ease. As you can see from my selection, ASOS really have nailed the trend, and there are so many that I am positivelyIN LOVE with!
So what do you guys think of this trend? Is it a bit too out-there for you, or are you with me on this?
I hope you’re all having a relaxing Sunday! I’ve been spending mine catching up on some blogging and emails, and I also have just listed a few more items on my Depop account, so be sure to check them out!
Happy Shopping,
Ciara x
I Love this trend. I have rather a large collection of fishtail skirts ( no idea how, random sale purchases?..) so it is nice to have them on show again!
