   I have to admit it, my favourite outfits lately are the simple ones. Built up on a foundation of good wardrobe staples, an outfit like this is far from “basic”, if you ask me! So today I’m bringing you a breakdown of my top five wardrobe staples right now.

1: The Biker Jacket

Probably my favourite thing in my wardrobe right now, this VEDA biker jacket was a bit of a splurge, but I’ve been living in it ever since. If you’re looking for a similar one, Shopbop always have a great selection, (I also love this one) or try ASOS for a more budget-friendly buy. I wear mine with everything and anything, and its one of my smartest purchases to date.

2: The Classic Sunnies

A recent addition to my wardrobe, these Celine “New Audrey” sunglasses are my latest obsession. I love how they take just about any outfit to another level, adding a dose of Hepburn0chicness to your look. Plus, who doesn’t love a great pair of oversized sunnies on hangover days when you want to block the world out?! I picked up mine from SmartBuySunglasses.co.uk, who have a brilliant selection of Celine styles at the moment, I’m already trying to justify a second pair, haha!

3: The Investment Bag

I know I’ve harped on about the YSL Blogger Bag many times already (sorry not sorry) but I love the idea of having one or two really nice bags in your wardrobe, that give that element of “luxe” to even the most casual outfit. You don’t have to spend thousands, heck, you don’t even have to spend hundreds, but investing that little bit more into your accessories is always a wise choice, as they’ll always be on hand to make your outfit look and feel that bit more special. 4: The skinny Jean

Let’s talk about jeans. It’s taken me a reeeeally long time to find a fit I absolutely love, and that was the Jamie jean from Topshop. Hearing so many people rave about them, I actually don’t know how I never tried them for so long! Needless to say, they’re my new faves, and I just picked up a black pair with distressed knees, which I expect to be living in all AW long. Watch this space.

5: The white sneakers

White sneakers are such a simple styling touch that you’d often overlook them, but they are such a handy purchase, mainly because they go with EVERYTHING. Day-dresses, skirts, jeans, leggings, you name it! I picked up this perforated pair from River Island recently (they’re sold out but here is a similar pair) and I’m loving how they look with simple, dressed down looks. I can’t wait to pair them with this printed cami dress, or my black slip dress.
