As I mentioned in my previous post, the bad weather we’ve been having here in Ireland lately has made it near impossible for me to take any outfit posts for the blog, which is such a shame! I managed to squeeze in these pictures a few days ago in the early morning, but the rain meant I had to give up and run inside halfway through. I still managed to get a few pictures which I thought I’d share, so forgive me if they seem a bit rushed!
In this post, I wanted to show you guys a typical outfit I would wear to work in the wintertime. As you can see, there’s lots of black going on, as well as LOTS of layers! I find that mixing textures is a great way to make an all-black outfit look that bit more exciting, and here I have layered one of my favourite faux-fur gilets over a tweed-effect coat to give me that extra warmth that I need in the cold weather. Turtlenecks are also key for staying cosy, I have been living in them all winter!
Of course, no all-black ensemble would be complete without a little bit of leather, and this new bag I got from Misstella certainly ticks that box. I was kindly asked to pick an item of my choosing from their website recently, and when I spotted this gorgeous minimal tote, I knew it would make for the perfect everyday bag a girl-on-the-go like myself. The material is a buttery soft soft imitation leather, and this particular tote actually comes as part of a set of three pieces, so you really do get a lot for your money. After using the bag everyday at work for about a week or so, I can happily say that it is becoming an essential in my accessories arsenal, also it reminds me so much of the Céline black shopper-tote!
As Spring is finally here (yaaaaay!) I plan on taking lots more outfit posts for the blog (weather providing) as I have so many new pieces to share with you all! Also, you may have spotted on my facebook or instagram yesterday that I will be collaborating with Boohoo.com on some fun outfit projects for their new #OWNIT campaign soon, so be sure to stay tuned for that!
I hope you’re all having a lovely relaxing Sunday,
Peace,
WildChild
