After showing you some of the pieces I have recently bought for Autumn in my last Shop Spotlight post, I think it’s time to share with you my August Wishlist, that is, the pieces that I haven’t bought yet, but am dying to! This months Wishlist is full of back to school basics. Even if, like me, you’re not starting any college courses in next month, Autumn is still a time to add some new staples into your wardrobe for the months ahead, and I’ve got my eye on some gorgeous pieces!
Firstly, these Céline “Audrey” sunglasss have been popping up all over my instagram feed on some of my favourite bloggers and fashionistas, and I just love them! The rounded cat eye, oversized shape, the are just so chic-looking! Don’t be fooled into thinking you wont need sunglasses in the early Autumn months guys, as they are still full of sunshine, so protecting your peepers is a must. I was also pleasantly surprised at the price-tag on these beauties, they are a lot more affordable than I had anticipated. Another fantastic reason to invest, ha ha!
Another item I am in dire need of this season is a few pairs of basic, comfortable flats, which are also cute of course. I would absolutely love to own a Miu Miu pair, but sadly they are out of my price range right now, but these beauties I found on Jessica Buurman are a fraction of the price, and just as pretty! I think I will need to invest in these soon, my feet will certainly thank me after a summer spent running around in heels!
My current schedule as a part-freelancer/part-presenter with SHEmazing means that I am constantly carrying bits and pieces around with me, whether it’s a change of outfit, or my laptop, a filofax, or even just a big bottle of water, and my smaller bags are now struggling to fit everything in! I am on the lookout for a good quality oversized tote, preferably in leather, that can hold everything easily, without making me look like a bag lady. This oversised leather tote from Warehouse is perfect, Ive been eyeing it up in-store and the quality is fantastic. If your budget can stretch that bit further even, then the Michael Kors Jet-set tote in black is another fantastic tote-choice, and it will definitely stand the test of time!
The final pieces on my wishlist are more basics, but they really are essential components in anyones AW wardrobe. A good pair of black skinnys is a must, Im loving this River Island pair with the slight rip, but this ASOS pair are gorgeous too, and come in a variety of washes and lengths. A trenchcoat is something that I mentioned in a previous summer wishlist post, but I haven’t purchased yet, I really want one in my wardrobe this Autumn! This ASOS one is gorgeous and beautifully tailored, but I also love this slightly shorter Warehouse style. Keeping with the neutral theme, this cream Chicwish blazer is another item I am coveting, and I could see it going with SO many pieces in my wardrobe.
You can see from my last Shop Spotlight post, I am really trying to stick to good quality basic pieces, preferably in neutral tones, as I know they will work better with what’s already in my wardrobe, and therefore will make my life much easier! I feel like all the pieces in this months wishlist could be worn together, or easily be broken up and styled with different items to make some really cute Autumn looks. But what do you guys think of my choices? I’d love to know what items you’ve been lusting after this month!
Hoping you’ve all had a great weekend so far! Im back at home chilling after a little adventure at Electric Picnic, spent catching up with friends and checking out some great music, it was SO much fun! My boyfriend Yoseph is a musician, and luckily we often get given guest or artist passes for a lot of Irish festivals (something which I am always so grateful for) and this will have been my fourth festival of the summer, crazy! Speaking of this summer gone, I am planning another new Career Diaries post for you all, it will be a look back at my busy past few months, and will give you guys a bit more insight into my working life right now, and my plans and goals for the near-future. So keep an eye out for that one guys!
Happy Shopping,
Ciara x
