Basics Wishlist: 5 Great Designer Crossbody Bags

Back again with another investment shopping post for you guys, with another round of dupes for good measure, too! You guys seem to really love when I post about them, so I’ve found alternatives for some of this year’s most coveted designer bags. Read on to see which ones I’ve chosen… you can thank me later!

Chloe Faye:

It’s no surprise that Chloe would make the cut in this roundup, with their bags being one of the most coveted of the past year, hanging from every ‘it’ blogger’s arm from here to L.A. They’re cute, compact and perfect for carrying your essentials, so if you were looking to invest in a current fashion-favourite, look no further then the Faye, which comes in at just under €1000

There are many dupe versions of this style available online for a snip, I myself have both the tan and grey version from YesStyle, both of which are on constant rotation! They have loads of space, and even fit my Olympus Pen camera!

Chloe Drew:

Again, this style of Chloe bag has been just as popular as the Faye, with no signs of waining. It comes in three sizes (my favourite being the mini size) and it’s chain strap adds an elegant, feminine touch to any outfit. Again, there are lots of dupes available online (in a variety of colours and textures) if the investment version isn’t for you.

Celine Box Bag:

The Celine box bag has been high on my wishlist for some time, but it’s hefty price tag is not so purse-friendly. Granted, it’s such a classic, timeless style so if you do decide to invest the money then will never date, but if you’d rather a dupe, they’re are some really good ones available. I particularly like that they’re real leather too, so you’re getting a long-lasting bag that looks designer for under €100. Pretty great, right? I think this black one might have to be my next dupe-purchase.

Shop the investment and the dupes:

Celine Trio:

Another Celine classic, but this time with a much more affordable price tag. The read deal will cost you well under €1000, and for such a versatile bag (the pouches can be detached to make a clutch) it’s a very solid investment in my humble opinion, and perfect for an first-time designer bag purchase. Still, if you’d rather get the look for less, there are some fantastic dupes available for under €50.

Gucci Dionysus:

Dionysus fever has been sweeping the fashion world of late, with every super-blogger ‘gramming a picture of this must-have bag. It’s intricate detail and statement snake-head clasp do make it extremely lust-worthy, but with a price-tag of €2/3k+, I personally would go for a more classic (aka boring) style of bag, for fear of this one dating too quickly. I actually didn’t expect to find a dupe for this online, but low and behold, there they are. Shop them below:
