Firstly, apologies for the lack of posts this month! I’m usually pretty consistent as you guys know, but December has been so busy, and it’s been a little hard to juggle regular blogging with my other projects. I’ve still been posting regularly over on Instagram and snapchat (both @ciaraodoherty) which are the best ways to stay updated when I’m not posting here. Things are starting to settle down now just before Christmas thankfully, and I have a lot more posts planned over the break, so stay tuned!
Anyhow, I’m sure you’ve already seen my Holiday shop by now, which included my favourite places to shop, gifts for him, and also some gifts options under €50, but now that you’ve gotten most of your Christmas shopping done (hopefully!) it’s perfectly ok to start thinking about treating yourself, too.
There are a few blog and work-related items on my wishlist, such as a new lens for my trusty Olympus Pen EPL-7 camera (read my review of it here). The one I’m looking at is the 17mm lens, which is supposed to be great for video-shooting (more on that soon!) and travel photography. I also really want to get a pretty case for my macbook, to protect it when I’m lugging it around working on-the-go. I used to have a marble one which is now a bit grubby, so I’m thinking that a gold or rose-gold one would be perfect. I found a store on Etsy that has some amazing styles at the moment, I just cant decide which one!
I’ve wanted to invest in a pretty lariat necklace for the longest time, with my absolute favourites being by Jennifer Zeuner, an american brand I found years ago. They’re a little bit on the pricey side, but I haven’t been able to find any other brands that sell necklaces as nice, so I think i’ll stick with these. My favourite is this rose-gold lariat style, which is currently on sale, too.
And finally, the last thing on my wishlist is a designer investment. I have yet to make my first real designer purchase, and this past year especially I’ve made sure to be extra careful with my funds. One of the reasons I love Christmas so much is because it signifies the end of another year, with all it’s challenges, achievements and special memories. I’ll be talking more about this in my annual end-of-year post which will be coming soon (read last year’s post here) but this year has been a pretty crazy one, and I want to mark the occasion by getting something special for myself.
There are so many amazing designers and beautiful pieces to choose from, but after a lot of thought and research, I think I’d like to choose something from Louis Vuitton. I’ve loved the brand for years, and I wanted to choose a designer thats classic and timeless, and a piece that’s functional as well as fabulous.
I’m still making my mind up, but I’d love to know what you guys think. If you have any suggestions as to what I should invest in, then please do let me know in the comments below, I’d appreciate your advice on this one!
