This is the second look in my Fashion Film series with Azzy O’Connor (see the first one here) which premiered on RTE Fashion this morning, and I wanted to share it here too. As you can see, it’s another very cosy outfit, which is definitely needed in this December weather! If you ask me, blanket capes are a welcome trend this season, we’re essentially given the go-ahead to wear a blanket outside the house, which is great! They’re immensely comfortable, and can be styled into so many different casual looks.
I picked up this blanket cape in ASOS years ago now, but I dug it out again recently after seeing a new way of styling it with a belt that I really liked. Adding a belt to your blanket cape not only cinches in your waist, but it also secures it and stops it from slipping down off your shoulders when you’re walking. I also picked up this Burberry-esque cape from Sheinside recently, but I’m also loving this cute tartan style.
I teamed this look with a pair of flat boots from Boohoo, which makes this look even more comfortable! They are perfect for keeping your feet cosy on cold days like today, when you might be running around doing some last minute Christmas shopping!
