Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you’re all having a relaxing day so far, i certainly am 🙂 For those of you who don’t know, I have recently made the move into the big bad move into freelance work, which means I’ve basically been working full-time on my blog, and on some other broadcasting and fashion projects. I must admit the move has been scary, and at times It can be a little overwhelming, but I am honestly so happy with the decision I’ve made, and so far its been going better than I ever expected!
As you can imagine, freelance and blogging work involves a lot of working from home, and I have decided that I need to put together a little mini office space for myself, because up until now I’ve been working all over my house; at my kitchen table, on the couch, and even on my bed, which is such a bad habit! I am on the hunt for a nice little desk, and some office accessories, plus a few cute little accents that will make my working space that bit more personal and inspiring.
Putting together an office space can be expensive, so I am taking the time to do some trawling on buy-and -sell websites like Gumtree, that offer great value pre-loved furniture and household items in your area. I have actually been quite lucky with thrifting furniture before, my boyfriend picked me up my beautiful dressing table in a charity shop for next to nothing, and I absolutely adore it. I’ve been having a good look on Gumtree and I’ve found some amazing desks for seriously good value, and they also have loads of great shelves too!
I have been putting together a moodboard of inspiration and ideas from Pinterest, and as you can see from some of the photos above, I think that if you get creative, you can turn a small space into something really special, and perfect for all of your at-home working needs! I’m off on a shopping trip tomorrow to pick up some of the essentials, and I’ll hopefully be showing you guys my new office space in no time. Wish me luck!
