Firstly, sorry for the lack of blog-posts over the past week, things have been pretty crazy on my end with unpacking, settling into Dublin life, and starting my internship with Fashion One & Empower Studio of course! I think it will take me a little while to settle back into my regular blogging routine, but I am determined to get back into the swing of things, so please bear with me dear readers! Last week was my first working with Fashion One and Empower, and it was a busy one! As promised, here is the first of my Internship Diaries!

Bag : Michael Kors // Necklace : eBay
On Wednesday my Fashion One videographer Lawrence and I went along to the Persil Fashion Awards which were held in the rooftop restaurant of Dunnes Stores on Henry Street. The event itself was so much fun, with 8 of irelands finest aspiring young designers showcasing their creations in the hopes of winning the whopping €10,000 prize towards their career. All of the designs were spectacular, and just like the fashion events like these I have attended before, I always feel so inspired and uplifted by the creativity and ambition of Irelands young fashion students, they really are SO amazing. The filming went really well, Im very happy with the footage, and I cant wait to share it with you guys once Fashion One releases it.
You can see a wee feature on the Persil Awards on Xpose here if you fancy (you’ll spot me in the frow!)

The next evening we were off again to film at the Littlewoods A/W collection launch, which was another really fun event. Held in the loft of the beautiful Fallon & Byrne food-store off grafton street, there was lots of prosecco, delicious nibbles, and of course, some fabulous clothes to fawn over. The lovely Caroline Morohan (of RTE fame) was hosting the event, and she did a wonderful job. As the official spokesperson for Littlewoods Ireland, Caroline has a great feel for the brand, and I even got to interview her about the new collection, which went really well. She’s an absolute sweetheart to chat to, so down-to-earth, not to mention a total babe. (I’ll post up the finished video as soon as Its gone live!)
After the launch I went to meet my friend Laura for some Cosmos (YUM) and a log-overdue catch-up, and it was the perfect end to a long, but great day.
I have lots more fun projects, events and collaborations in the pipeline for Fashion One in the coming weeks, but I won’t say too much about them just now, you’ll just have to stay tuned for the next “Internship Diary” post to see what we’ll be getting up to next!
