So I have to say, I’m really enjoying this new Loving Lately series! It’s the perfect way to keep you guys updated on all the things I’m digging right now, plus any news and fun updates I may have to share. So, lets get into all the things I’m living, loving, and lusting after this past week…
Holiday Plans:
I don’t think I’ve mentioned this on my blog or social pages yet, but I’m going on holidays at the end of May… I’ll be going to Primavera music festival in Barcelona, Spain! It will be my third time at this particular festival, and I am so happy to be going back again this year with Yoseph, and four of our good friends. After the festival we’ll be travelling to the southwest of France to spend another week there in a house all together, which I’m also SO excited about! I know the festival is going to be amazing, and it will be great to spend some time chilling with my friends afterwards, it will be such a great way to start the Summer!
Bikini Shopping:
As you can imagine, the thought of going away at the end of May has me so excited to plan my holiday outfits and swimwear. I have been on the hunt for a few really pairs of cute bikinis, plus one or two funky one-pieces. So far I have my eye on this black deep-v style, as well as this gorgeous berry bow style, how glam is it?! I always find that the nicest swimwear always sells out long before summertime comes around, so I always recommend snapping up your favourites asap! Here are some of mine:
First Xpose slot:
This past week also held a big first for me career-wise, It was my first ever styling slot on Xposé! The feature was on ways to wear yellow for Spring, in association with the Irish Cancer Society’s Daffodil Day campaign. (You can watch the feature here, my slot starts at about 6 minutes in!) I am so happy with how it turned out, all of the pieces from Warehouse looked so gorgeous on our model. I have a some other styling projects with TV3 in the pipeline, so stay tuned for more updates on those. Exciting times ahead guys!
What I wore:
suede skirt | utility shirt | v neck vest all from Warehouse
Fashion Independence Day:
Some of you may have spotted the furry of activity over on my twitter on Thursday, and that’s because I was appointed as one of Ireland’s “Fashion Crusaders” for Fashion Independence day. Founded by Frockadvisors’ Sonya Lennon and Brendan Courtney, this day aimed to promote and celebrate Irish boutiques around the country, by getting them involved in this online extravaganza. My job as crusader was to pop around to as many independent shops and boutiques as possible, and get selfies with the wonderful people behind them.
Despite it being a pretty manic few hours (SO much running around!) I had such a blast meeting everyone, and I enlisted the help of a trusty selfie stick, so those selfies weren’t so difficult! I had initially bought the selfie stick as somewhat of a joke, but after realising just how bloomin’ handy it is, I have decided to keep it around. You may even spot it in next week’s favourites feature, who knows!
Nima Makeup Brushes:
I recently got the chance to try out a cool new makeup brush brand called Nima Brushes. I’ve been using the Elite Collection, and so far I’m really impressed with the quality and finish they give to my makeup, and what’s even better is, they’re an Irish brand! I’m no beauty expert, but I always find that investing in the right brushes makes such a difference to the way your makeup looks, so if anyone is looking to invest in a good set, then these guys are sure to do the job. I’m looking forward to trying out some more beauty looks with them over the next while!
Shooting with Joshua Gordon for ASOS:
This week I was also featured on ASOS, as part of a feature that I shot with the London-based photographer Joshua Gordon for a collaboration with Tourism Ireland. We spent a fun day together hanging around Dublin, and the results are pretty gas, as you can see from the above photo! Check it out for yourself here and take their fun little quiz!
Other bits and bobs:
- I was delighted to be featured on Stellar Magazines website this week, you can check out my feature here..
- I’ve started a new monthly series on the blog called “PayDay Wishlist” which is a fun way of sharing all the pieces Im lusting after each month, plus the few bits I treat myself too also. After working hard all month long, it’s important to treat ourselves a little, am I right guys?
- Im writing this post while on route to my hometown of Galway for a special TKMaxx VIP customer loyalty event, where i’ll be offering style advice and tips from 6-8pm! So if you’re in the area be sure to pop in and say hi, it’s sure to be a fun evening! Then tomorrow I’m off to Kerry to do the same in their Tralee branch, I can’t wait!
Thats it for another week of my latests loves, stay tuned for some more posts coming up this week, including a brand new Style Diary and another Trend Report.
Hope you’re all having a great week so far!
Happy Reading,
Ciara x
