My invite ~ which I actually forgot to bring with me, whoops! |

Last night I attended the Rihanna for River Island press event in Dublin. The night before its general release in stores, select members of bloggers and press were invited to see and shop the collection, with an added 20% discount! I had an absolute blast at the launch, there was an amazing atmosphere and a real buzz about the collection, which itself was great. I was reporting at the event for FashionOne Tv, and I got to chat to some lovely people about their thoughts on the collection, including the always-lovely Brendan Courtney, and Stellar Fashion Editor, Corina Gaffey.
What I wore:
Because I knew I would be doing so much running around, I needed to be comfortable in my outfit. I wore my new Kimono from River Island, my Moschino belt, my River Island boots, and my new faux leather pants, which I snapped up for a bargain on eBay. (you can get them here, they are actually H&M brand too ~ they’re great quality) I also channelled Rihanna a little by wearing a body chain under my tank top, and stacked on a few thin gold knuckle rings!.
Since I was so busy working for FashionOne, I didn’t get much chance to browse the collection, but as soon as I got all of my work done, I got to have a good look, and I even snapped up a little something for myself, I figured I deserved it after all my running around, and with the added discount, I just couldn’t resist! Im sorry I didnt get more photos of the clothes and the event itself, I was so busy with the interviews, but I promise I will take more/better photos at these types of events in future, as I always regret not doing so afterwards!
I always love events like these as it also gives me a chance to catch up with my lovely blogger pals, some of which I might not have even met in person yet! I finaaaaly got to meet the lovely Laura Mullet from Lipstick Gossip, and as expected, she is just as lovely and bubbly in person, and we were instant pals 🙂

Overall I have to say I loved the Rihanna for River Island collection, the quality and cut of the fabrics really impressed me, and I feel that they are fairly priced for what you get. The collection is very true to Rihanna’s style, I could see her rocking any of the pieces, she has been spotted in quite a few already. I cant wait to show you guys what I bought but I want to wait to photograph it properly, so I can make it into a nice outfit post for you all! I also am really looking forward to seeing the finished Fashion One video, I’ll post it up once it’s live!
Peace,
