Khaki is one of those colours I resisted for a long time. Now it’s a staple in my day-today wardrobe, and I treat it like a neutral.
It’s true, I avoided wearing this colour for so long, as I was unsure if it would suit me or not. Now it’s one of my favourite shades to play with, especially for Autum Winter, which is just around the corner. Trying out a khaki-on-khaki look had been on my list for some time now, and I really wanted to wait until I found the perfect khaki skirt first. I have fallen in love with this wrap-skirt from Closet London, I also wore this skirt for my latest Ireland AM slot with the Zipyard. I’m now on the hunt for another one, and this lace-up version is high on my list!

[thefeedproducts style=’two’]This khaki shirt has been in my wardrobe for a while now, surprisingly it’s still available online! I’ve worn it in so many casual looks, it was time to dress it up a little. I guess this look is a little bit workwear inspired, even though I don’t work in an office myself. If you swapped the lace-up platforms out for a more sensible court, you could probably wear this to an office, right?

Also, how cute is this new laptop bag I picked up from Parfois? Im often bringing my laptop with me on work-trips, or even just into town for a change of scenery while I work, and having a good quality, protective laptop case is essential. This one has lots of space in it also, so I can pack all my essentials into it for working away from my desk. Plus I’m totally digging that mustard shade, it’s so on-trend.
Hope you’ve all had a great week, thank god the weekend is here! Have you any exciting plans? I’m off on a trip to Kerry for the weekend, which I can’t wait for. I’ll be road-tripping down with my friend Kelly tomorrow, and on Sunday we’re going to do the challenging trek up Carranthouthil (a mountain with the highest peak in Ireland!) with Hidden Ireland Tours. It’s going to be quite a challenge, but I’m really looking forward to it. We’ll also be staying in the beautiful Europe hotel in Killarney, to try out their one-night-experience package, which looks divine! I’ve heard so many wonderful things about the hotel, and I’m so excited get the chance to stay there myself.
Be sure to follow me on instagram and snapchat (both ciaraodoherty) to stay updated on my travels over the weekend, it’s sure to be an adventure!
Have a great weekend,
