[thefeedproducts style=’two’]“Music is a world within itself, with a language we all understand.”
One of my highlights from my trip to Budapest has to be the Opera. I had never experienced one, so before we left Dublin I booked two tickets to the Flying Dutchman in the Hungarian Stare Opera, and I was so excited. The show itself was absolutely amazing, I still cant believe the strength of the performers voices (no microphones!) and coupled with the live orchestra, it was a powerful experience. The venue itself was beyond magical, just look at those photos! Myself and Yoseph had our own little balcony booth to ourselves, I have to admit It all felt very decadent indeed.
I wanted to wear something special for the event, so I saved this ASOS jumpsuit (which I nabbed on sale) for the occasion, I just loved the wide leg, and the daring cut was something a little different for me. Operas usually follow a semi-formal dress code, but I still wanted to wear something modern and comfortable, and this jumpsuit was just the ticket! A caped blazer was the perfect cover-up, and a slick of red lipstick added a touch of drama. I was so happy with how it turned out, what do you guys think?
I don’t think this will be my last Opera, and I am already on the lookout for more performances in Dublin and further afield. Don’t forget to check out my Budapest Travel Diaries post for more information on my trip, and stay tuned for the next style diary coming soon!
