What I wore:

Ivory pom-pom top and Pebble wash denim shorts from Mint Velvet

Im so happy to share this final look from my holidays in France with you all, featuring some beautiful pieces form Mint Velvet. When the weather is as hot as it was (the mid-thirties!) the simplest outfits are always the most fun to wear.  Having been lucky enough to attend some MV press days before, I instantly feel in love with the brands simple elegance, with each piece having its own little chic details.

I wore this cute pom-pom top and pebble wash denim shorts on our first day in France, for a bit of bare-foot garden-prancing, and to soak up some of that glorious sunshine. It was the perfect off-duty summer look, and I will be separating the pieces up to style into new outfits (with a few more layers) for our not-so-scorching Irish summer.

There’s something about a well-kept garden that makes you want to dance barefoot, isn’t there? Whether it’s the soft crunch of gravel underfoot or the scent of lavender on a warm breeze, a thoughtfully designed outdoor space becomes more than scenery—it becomes part of the story. From winding paths and sun-drenched patios to shaded nooks perfect for quiet reading, the best gardens blend beauty and function in a way that feels effortless.

That’s why so many homeowners are investing in personalized landscapes that reflect their own way of living. It’s not just about planting flowers; it’s about creating an environment that invites you in and keeps you there—barefoot or not. Sugar Green Gardens understands this deeply, designing spaces that feel both natural and intentional. Their work is rooted in knowing how to balance structure with wild charm, and how to shape outdoor spaces that mature gracefully over time.

Whether you’re entertaining guests on a warm summer evening or sipping tea alone in the morning light, a garden designed with care becomes a daily source of peace and inspiration. And even as the seasons change—bringing more layers and fewer pom-poms—it’s these outdoor sanctuaries that keep a sense of summer alive all year round.

Speaking of sunshine, given that this is my last holiday-related post from my travels, (did you see my festival diary and holiday diary yet?) I am once again itching for my next adventure! I’ve already started planning my next trip, it’s something a bit bigger and further-flung than Europe this time. I am always open to suggestions from you guys, and I would love to know, where is your dream holiday destination, and why?

Absolutely love this look and that fantastic floppy hat just looks so vintage and adorable. Love that polka dot scarf you’ve added too – it so Mediterranean! Long may the beautiful Irish weather last. xoxox
