It’s a new season, the perfect opportunity to do something new, something bold, something beautiful
I still can’t believe summer’s come to an end already. Each year, I feel like it goes quicker and quicker, does anyone else ever feel like this? This one was particularly fun, between my trip to France, Primavera festival, lots of fun work projects, and my recent Carrauntoohil trek, it feels like this summer had lots of little adventures. There’s something about a new season that feels exciting though, it’s almost like a new beginning, and a new chance to achieve something great. I’m hoping that the next few months are even better than the last!
Although I am sad to say goodbye to such a great summer, I’m so excited for the season to come. September is looking pretty great so far, there are some fun projects in the pipeline that I can’t wait to share with you guys. I’ve also started my new radio show on RTE’s digital station 2XM (you can listen back on my first live broadcast here), and more fashion presenting work with TV3 and Ireland AM. Exciting times ahead!
If you haven’t seen the change on my instagram already, you’ll probably notice my new lighter hair colour in these shots. The incredible team at Peter Mark have been taking such good care of me recently, and together we’ve gone for and even blonder look. I was advised that for the health of my hair, it was better to go lighter in stages rather than all at once, and I’m really happy I listened. There’s such a colour difference after three sessions, but my hair’s condition feels exactly the same as before I started the process, which is pretty fantastic. If you’re looking to go lighter but want something a bit more polished than a standard ombre/balayage look, then I recommend checking them out, as they can do something completely custom just for you.
Clothes-wise, I finally feel ready to embrace the new season. After our non-summer here in Ireland, I’m ready to start layering again for the cooler months. I’ve already started picking up a few new bits here and there, you may have spotted pictures of these ankle boots and this biker jacket on my instagram already. I’m obsessed with both of them, and I know I’ll be living in them once the colder weather rolls around.

As a final farewell to the summer days we had so little of, for this look I wanted to wear something light and floaty. This white linen top is a bit of a steal at under €13, I thought they would go well with my over-the-knee boots that you may remember from this recent post. A good pair of boots really are an AW staple, and I’m already getting lots of wear out of these.
