Now that it’s November and the temperatures have really started to drop, I’ve been turning to my favourite winter styling tricks that always keep me looking good while staying cosy…
Here is one simple winter layering trick you need to try out:
1: The Chunky turtle neck
We all have at least one in our wardrobe we know and love, and tend to live in once the cold weather kicks in. My favourite are the chunky knit, oversized ones, that look like they could be borrowed from your boyfriend. They’re endlessly warm and cosy, and perfect for this type of styling trick…

2: The Floral Midi Dress
It could be one you picked up recently this autumn, or one of your summer floral midis that may have been cast to the back of your wardrobe once the weather turned cooler, either works! As long as it has a darker neutral base, and hits about mid-calf length, it will work perfectly. Here I’ve used one of my favourite floral midis which you’ve seen on the blog before, but this time round it’s styled a very different way! Pairing a loose floral midi with a chunky jumper gives a stylish, modern feel to your look, and it’s also extremely comfy and warm too! Just make sure your ankle boot has a bit of a heel on it, to stop the outfit from overpowering your frame.

3: The Suede Biker Jacket
For another layer of added warmth, throw on your favourite biker jacket to complete the look. Suede looks great, but leather or faux leather works just as well too, as long as your keeping the colours in autumnal, neutral palette. Go bare-legged if you dare, or add a pair of tights for extra warmth (like I did!) and hey presto, a winter outfit that is as stylish as it is snug.
