Ever since I saw the iconic Ms Bradshaw sporting them, I’ve been more than a little obsessed with midi skirts. There is something so unapologetically whimsical about their shape and flare, it’s old-school elegance at its best! They can be styled in so many different ways, but no matter which way you wear them, whether dressed down in flats or paired with sky-high heels, they will always look chic and polished.
When it comes to the midi, you pretty much have three options. Go dramatic in all black, or make a statement with a colour-pop hue, or channel your inner vintage vixen in a floral or printed number. I recently purchased a gorgeous emerald green midi and I absolutely love it, and styled it into a little Style Diary for the blog, which I can’t wait to share with you all!
For a long time it was quite difficult to find decent mdi skirts with just the right amount of poofyness (yes, I just made that word up) but thankfully I have found some amazing styles online at great prices. After loving my first purchase so much, I am now on the hunt for a second one, such as this gorgeous paint effect one, and this fabulous floral number. It also looks like the midi is not just a trend for Spring/Summer. I’ve spotted them at some of the A/W press events I’ve been covering for Shemazing this past week, so it looks like they’re a piece that has some staying-power for the seasons ahead.
