As much as I love living in dear ol’ Ireland, I gotta admit it, the weather is pretty brutal at times. Just when I was starting to get back into the swing of outfit posts again, the weather decides to implode on itself, leaving me to compete with snow blizzards and red-warnings when shooting outfits! Surprisingly, there are some beautiful bursts of sunshine between the showers/icy winds and I’ve been trying to make the most out of them.
This outfit is a mix of mostly new pieces, including this beautiful and oh-so-soft faux fur throw I picked up from Cotton Face Vintage. CFV is an amazing online vintage shop, who’s founder Sinead has recently opened a boutique in my hometown of Galway, which I cannot wait to visit. I think stoles are such a clever styling tool in that they add that little something extra to just about any outfit. I threw mine over my biker jacket and turtle-neck to add dose of daytime glam, and a bit of extra warmth of course!
After wearing my old H&M leather trousers to bits, I finally had to put them out to pasture, but thankfully I found these replacements in Penneys this week for a fantastic price. If you’re on the lookout for a good pair of leather ‘trews I strongly recommend checking them out. These ASOS ankle boots are a recent purchase also, and I think the cuban heel makes them juuuust causal enough for daytime wear. Plus, they’re currently on sale! All in all, I think the whole ensemble makes for a surprisingly weather-resistant outfit. Here’s hoping we can all start shedding some of our winter layers soon!
