Some of you may have noticed the song I posted on the WildChild facebook page earlier today ~ it was by Young Wonder, an amazing Irish band who have been making some serious waves in the Irish (and international) music scene recently. Their front woman is a rather whimsical, wonderful creature called Rachel Pixie, who is the subject of today’s grilling. It wasn’t just Rachel’s amazing musical talent that caught me eye, but also her original, eclectic sense of style, that makes me feel she’s a fellow “Wild-Child” like myself!

FAVOURITE FOOD/MEAL: I really like cereal, like, way too much. Honestly, my favourite meal would be a bowl of delicious cornflakes!
FAVORITE PERK OF MY JOB: Getting to sing live on stage, my absolute favourite thing to do in the world!

MY PROUDEST MOMENT TO DATE: Getting to support Alt-J in the 02 Shepherds Bush London. Alt-J are my favourite band of the year, what an amazing experience!
LAST DREAM I HAD: That my boyfriend bought an espresso machine for the price of one cup of coffee (€3). The dream consisted of me giving out to him saying ‘you don’t even like hot drinks!’ It was a bargain I suppose.
MY GUILTY PLEASURE: Eating takeaway Indian for my breakfast this morning :/
CAN’T STOP LISTENING TO: Alt-J, Avan Lava & Lana del Rey. 3 albums on loop constantly!
MY BIGGEST FASHION MISTAKE: Wearing a dress with cats all over it. As if I’m not weird enough as it is!
CURRENTLY LUSTING AFTER (can be person/place/food/item): My housemates cat ‘Nippy’. He’s going to Spain to live in a few months and I’ll miss him so much!
PET PEEVE: Cyclists cycling on footpaths…its illegal goddammit!
BIGGEST SPLURGE/SPEND: A gorgeous vintage ball gown I bought for €350. Not that expensive but I’ve only worn it once
DREAM HOLIDAY/TRIP: I am actually planning a holiday to Tuscany at the moment, that’s good enough for me!
WHERE I’LL BE IN 5 YEARS TIME: I don’t even know where I’ll be next week never mind 5 years!
HOW I WIND DOWN: Glass of red, some cheese & good t.v.
MY MANTRA/SECRET TO SUCCESS: Work hard and always aim higher than you expect.

MY CELEBRITY CRUSH (DEAD OR ALIVE!) : I’m embarrassed to say, but it has to be Edward Cullen. He’s not even real…or alive. I’m so sad.
MY CURRENT DREAM/GOAL: Keep going with Young Wonder, European Tour. Ultimate goal is to do an American tour and an album by 2014.
ADVICE TO MY 16 YEAR-OLD SELF: Do exactly what you’re doing, it got me where I am now!
