WildChild Updates: New Chapter, New Job.

If you follow me on facebook and twitter you might have spotted me saying that I had some amazing news to share with you all. Since moving up to Dublin, I have been working really hard, and as a result so many opportunities have been opened up to me in regards to my career goals and my blog. I am so happy to to tell you guys that the big news is…. I have been appointed the role of Lead Stylist for the Irish online clothing company iClothing!

Many of you would recognise iClothing (they are the country’s biggest Irish-owned online clothing company) and last Friday I went for an interview for their Lead Stylist position, which I really didn’t expect to get, but I went in anyway and gave it my best shot. A few days later I was offered the position! I will be working full-time with with the company, and I my position will include styling and organising photoshoots, working on social media channels, concept-development for lookbook shoots, trend forecasting, and lots of other fun projects! There is also some Tv prep-work involved, as iClothing are frequently featured on Xpose and Ireland AM, which as you can imagine, I was delighted to hear!

I have been working in a bookshop for the past few years to support myself, as well as trying to maintain my blog, my internship with FashionOne Tv, and any other projects I’m working on. My timetable has always been quite hectic, and working in retail isn’t exactly where I want to be, so one of the reasons why this is such a big achievement for me personally, is that I am finally able to leave my retail job, to work full-time in fashion. Even just typing that sentence makes me grin from ear to ear.

I will be starting my new job tomorrow morning, and I am extremely excited to get stuck into all of the new projects and tasks. Just like the “Internship Diaries” series I featured on my blog over the summer, expect to see some “Stylist Diaries” featuring on the blog soon, as well as some daily snaps on my facebook and instagram of my outfits and daily work-life. I am so happy to be starting this new chapter in my life, and I hope that you guys will join me on the journey.

In other news, I had a very exciting meeting in RTE studios today, about an unrelated project that I am also extremely excited about, but its a long way away from completion, so I can’t say too much about it now unfortunately! I also have some fun outfit posts lined up for the rest of the week, so be sure keep an eye out for those.
