All photos (except for instagram) by Hazel Coonagh Photography
Last week the lovely people at U-Magazine included me in their “Witness the Wardrobe” feature, where they gave their readers a look inside my wardrobe for a double-page spread in the magazine. I was delighted to be asked, albeit a little bit daunted at the thought of a photographer coming in and having a good snoop around my bedroom! There was definitely some last minute sprucing, tidying, and re-arranging (i.e. hiding things in the spare room!) but I have to admit that when the photographer Hazel arrived, she was so lovely that I absolutely loved the whole process, and I didn’t worry one bit.
She was so friendly, and we chatted away while she snapped pictures of some of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe. You can see the full feature by picking up the latest issue of the magazine on shelves now, but since Hazel was kind enough to send some of the finished shots over to me, I figured why not share them in a special blog post here also.
Like pretty much everyone else out there, my room is my own little haven, it’s where I relax and unwind after a long day, but It’s also where I get ready, where I do most of my blogging work, and where I keep all my clothes of course! So as you can imagine, a lot goes on in there. Despite a hectic schedule and a loathing for cleaning, I try to keep my room as nicely as I can, and I find that organisation really helps. Good storage and a working system is key to a happy bedroom, I think! I am currently in the middle of a humungous wardrobe clearout, and I find that getting rid of all my unwanted clothes is making a huge difference to the space and atmosphere of my little she-cave. I’ve also linked some photos from my instagram account to give you a bit more of a look. I am quite tempted to do a little interiors shopping-guide series on where to find the best value and nicest pieces for your room, for both organisational and decorative purposes. Is this something you guys would be interested in seeing? Let me know and I will get to work on one!
I hope you guys are having a great week so far, I am up early tomorrow to do some last minute sprucing in my room again as there is another photographer coming to shoot my room (and me!) for an fun article about online-shopping. It’s funny how these press features tend to come in waves isn’t it? Either way I’m delighted to be involved, and if this piece turns out half as nice as the last one did, I’ll be a happy girl indeed.
Happy Shopping,
Ciara x
That shoe storage is AMAZING!! Great idea, and I love the hats on top – mine are stored at the bottom of my wardrobe so I always end up forgetting about them :/
