Finally, a style diary shot with the Pen! I was dying to shoot a look with my new Olympus Pen camera, but I wanted to wait until my 45mm lens arrived, as it gives that lovely blurry background effect that I love in my outfit photos. I’m still figuring out how to use all the finer settings of the camera, but I think shooting looks is the best way to get used to it, so be prepared to see a lot more style diaries coming up!
I was getting a bit uninspired by my outfits, locations, and my camera lately, so taking a little break from shooting style diaries gave me the chance to step back and re-think the stories I wanted to tell in my photos. After a little break I’m feeling refreshed an inspired again, and with a new camera to boot.
Myself and Yoseph shot this look in St Patricks park, which is only a 5 minute walk from my house, I can’t believe we’ve never shot in this location before! We spent a little while playing around with the camera settings before continuing on into town for some food and a wander around together.
The weather actually surprised me. I was expecting wind and rain so I wore my denim button up dress with tights, but it was actually really warm. Crazy Irish weather, always keeps us guessing eh? Unfortunately this exact dress is sold out, but I’ve linked some similar styles above, I especially love this shorter-sleeve version, and this cute belted style.
Also, say hello to my new over the knee boots from River Island, I’m in love. Despite the heel, these are extremely comfortable to walk in, I know I’ll be living in them come autumn/winter. They’re available in the most beautiful grey colour, too. I also wore my new Chloe dupe bag, (which I am still obsessed with) as it’s the perfect crossbody size, it even fits my new camera and lenses, with room to spare.
Hoping you’ve all had a great bank holiday weekend!
