I have a feeling that these will be one of my last few summer Style Diaries on the blog for some time! Judging by the weather over the past few days, I won’t be wearing outfits like this for much longer, so best take advantage of it while we still can, am I right guys?!
Firstly, lets touch on the cream & white debate. I know some people think it’s a sin to wear both shades together, but I actually kind of like it! What do you guys think? Is this something you’d attempt in an outfit? This cream blazer is something that I’ve worn time and time again on the blog, (see here and here) it’s really become such a staple piece in my wardrobe, and I really recommend investing in one if you haven’t already. You don’t have to spend a fortune either, this Misguided one and this slick style from Boohoo are very reasonably priced I think.
I picked up these shorts on sale in Warehouse years ago, and they’ve really stood the test of time. I love how they remind me of board-shorts, they make me feel like I should be clutching a surfboard on a beach somewhere tropical! Ah, but I won’t be doing that for a while now will I, dear readers?! I have to admit, I am happy that Autumn is finally rolling around, as its such a transitional time, and I love getting the chance to start into a fresh season of dressing. If you haven’t spotted my recent Shop Spotlight post yet, then I recommend checking it out ~ it’s a look at a few of the pieces I have bought over the past week or so in preparation for Autumn. There are some really lovely picks in there, I can’t wait to style them up into some looks for the blog.
And lastly, Happy friday everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I am off to Electric Picnic tomorrow and on Sunday, I was delighted when I was given some passes recently as tickets are like gold-dust right now! I’m thinking I better dig my Hunter wellies out of the back of my wardrobe, as it looks like it could be muddy out there tomorrow! I’ll spend a bit of time planning my outfits this evening to make sure I’m comfortable and dry, if it does actually rain. Be sure to keep an eye on my twitter and instagram (both @CiaraODoherty) throughout the weekend, as I will be updating as often as my battery lets me!
Happy Shopping
